New Coffee Shop Coming to L Street – Koko Cafe Boston
Well, this looks promising.
Friend of CIS, Eileen Murphy noticed a new sign on the old Cafe Mamtaz on L Street on Wednesday.
According to the sign, the new neighborhood coffee shop, Koko Cafe Boston will be opening in early May and will serve breakfast, lunch and of course, coffee!
Looks like Koko Cafe started off as a mobile espresso and coffee bar but its new location will be its first brick and mortar shop! The menu features everything from espresso to iced coffee plus items like Açaí pitaya bowl, cornbread french toast, baked eggs + chorizo for breakfast. The lunch menu is not currently listed on the website.
We look forward to this new small business opening soon in the neighborhood!
Make sure to follow them on Instagram for the latest!
Thank you to Eileen for the scoop!

What perfect timing. Starbucks is strictly take out now -/ gone are the days you could unwind in a cozy place with ambiance. This said, might be the right time to see your expensive Starbucks stock
Enter KoKo. Hope your coffee is good and service people are welcoming. If you can, make it a fun place where people know your name. That is a lot of work but worth the effort. Without it there is always Starbucks.
Is this no longer opening? What’s the scoop?
It’s opening in a few months!
