Mother’s East is giving Southie another reason to love the weekend. The neighborhood tavern is now serving lunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The new menu puts a fresh spin on tavern favorites, featuring house-baked English muffins with homemade raspberry jam, potato batter pancakes (available sweet or topped with caviar), locally caught scrod fish & chips, a corned beef pastrami sandwich, lump crab toast, and the restaurant’s popular double smash burger with hand-cut fries.

Mother’s East is a modern neighborhood tavern in South Boston from husband-and-wife team Alec Barber and Laura Fryer alongside Executive Chef David Quinlan.
