Dumpling lovers, listen up!
Founded by Chef Irene Li and her two older siblings, Mei Mei will be opening a dumpling factory, cafe and classroom in the Iron Works building on Saturday!
The cafe menu will feature lemongrass pork dumplings, cheddar scallion potato dumplings, and a rotating seasonal vegan dumpling. The restaurant is also hoping to add a signature menu item, the Double Awesome – a scallion pancake sandwich. Beer, wine, and cordials will also be served.
The cafe will also act as a classroom, where you can take dumpling-making classes. As for the 4000 square foot factory part of the space, it will feature a dumpling-making machine that can produce 8,000 dumplings an hour! There will be a large window where you can watch the process! You can sneak a peek of the space here!
