Looks like Sullivan’s is expanding to yet another location!

Moving on up!

Boston Restaurant Talk is reporting that Sullivan’s is planning to open another restaurant at Hanover Crossing – a new mixed-use development on Route 53.  The 6000 square foot restaurant will be the first Sullivan’s with sit-down dining and a bar!

The family owned hot dog and burger stand, located at Castle Island, opened back in 1951 and has been serving millions of happy customers.  Sullivan’s also has locations at Logan Airport and at Hub Hall at TD Garden!

Sullivan’s should have expanded in South Boston with something between E. Broadway and Carson Beach as there is nothing. They have a hold on what can be served from their current CI location all the way to Carson Beach. Why not take advantage of all the beach goers and open something more accessible as people do not want to walk from M Street to CI, especially families. Even a walk from Pleasure Bay to CI is too far! Even if just family friendly eats somewhere

JK, THATS what makes Sullys so speciL is the location. eating by the shoreline. Growing up in the lower end of Southie, getting to Sullys was never an issue, it was Sullys.
I’m the past during renovations from the “old” building into the new, everyone from Burger King to McDonald’s was trying to grab that spot bu t because it was a landmark, the city gave them a 99yr (?) lease for $1 p/yr as a co-op with the city so long as they kept the food affordable which in my opinion, they have.
I’ve yet to visit the other locations so can’t speak to their quality but Sullys @ CI will ALWAYS rank above any other because they’re consistent is service and food quality. With lines that look like hrs waits, your waiting no more than 10 minutes from order to receipt of your order. The manager Chris has been their since he was a kid and keeps that place running on point where everyone has a smile on their faces. You can’t beat that and that alone makes it worth the walk, bus ride or even Uber. w grateful for what you have rather than what you don’t. There may be other Sullivan locations but there’s only ONE Sullys!
