You asked – we answered

If you’ve driven down West Broadway lately, you’ve notice the construction going on at near the corner of F Street.  The old Payless Shoe building at 425 West Broadway is currently being transformed into Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant – a new bar and restaurant serving up American fare, pizza and brunch.

According to Boston Restaurant Talk, Lincoln’s new chef is Nicholas Dixon from Lucky’s Lounge and the general manager will be Toula Tiganitakis from Papagayo.

Lincoln Tavern and Restaurant is now hiring.

Can’t wait!

Special thanks to Greg Kadetsky for the scoop!

I have been here twice since it opened.  I waited until after the lines died down and there wasnt a two hour wait for a table.

I think the food is great. We have tried the short ribs…the meat falls off the bone and  the meatball appetizer is out of this world.

Last night, we had a taste of the bleu cheese stuffed dates, goat cheese dip (everyone has been raving about this – I dont even like goat cheese) it was out of this world.  The chicken wings were great too…they arent covered in sauce it is a dry rub and they are so good.

Mari was our server and she was excellent – very attentive to our needs.

I highly recommend this restaurant.  You will leave full and happy!
