Lawn on D and Citizens Bank together again!
The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) announced on Monday that after a successful 2016 season, Citizens Bank will be returning as The Lawn On D’s title sponsor in 2017. Thank goodness! So what exactly does that mean? It’s means plan on having lots of fun when the winter thaws!
We can look forward to outdoor movies, concerts, special events, food, drink, plenty of lawn games and those oh-so-popular Insta-worthy swings.

The Massachusetts Convention Center Authority (MCCA) is pleased to announce that after a successful 2016 season, Citizens Bank will be returning as The Lawn On D’s title sponsor in 2017.
The sponsorship agreement includes naming rights, incorporating the Citizens Bank logo with The Lawn On D brand in all signage and promotions for The Lawn On D. ”We are very happy to welcome back Citizens Bank as The Lawn On D’s title sponsor,” said David Gibbons, MCCA Executive Director. “The Lawn On D has become a favorite gathering spot for the community and the support of the Citizens Bank team has contributed significantly to making the space more successful and financially sustainable.”
Citizens Bank is the second largest retail bank in Massachusetts with over 240 local branches and a broad range of retail and commercial banking products and services aimed toward individuals, small businesses, middle-market companies, large corporations, and institutions.
The Lawn On D sponsorship is part of Citizens’ ongoing commitment to support local communities, encourage creativity and innovation, and provide unique experiences for its customers.
“Citizens Bank is thrilled to be returning in 2017 for another season as the title sponsor of The Lawn On D Powered by Citizens Bank,” said Jerry Sargent, President of Citizens Bank, Massachusetts. “The Lawn is an exciting community space and we are proud that our support enables the MCCA to provide free access to events that strengthen the community and build shared memories in the South Boston Waterfront district.
“ Citizens Bank was actively involved in community events at The Lawn On D throughout the 2016 season, hosting a day-long “Text to Give” event in collaboration with the Greater Boston Food Bank and hosting the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals Network . Since the debut of their kiosk last July, featuring an ATM machine and a charging station, Citizens Bank colleagues were at The Lawn On D every weekend welcoming and interacting with guests.
