Introducing, The Sour Dough – A New Gluten Free Bread Business!

We love celebrating small businesses, and there’s a ~fresh~ new one in Southie! Introducing The Sour Dough!
The Sour Dough offers freshly baked gluten-free sourdough made to order. The team behind The Sour Dough is a pair of young women, roommates Emma and Elizabeth, who got frustrated with the lack of good gluten-free fresh bread options.
But with their frustration came a great idea. The pair started baking fresh bread by hand out of their apartment, and after taking some time to perfect their recipe, they decided to create a business.
The Sour Dough officially launched at the start of 2024, and the pair say that word of mouth and the few flyers around town have helped the business take off. So far, The Sour Dough has baked and sold over 100 loaves.

$14 per loaf – pickup (located in Southie, at the corner of E&W Broadway)
$14 per loaf – local delivery within Southie
$20 per loaf – delivery to other Boston areas
