Ice, Ice Baby: Igloos at The Envoy
Winter is coming and back for the second year, The Envoy Hotel is heating things up with the installation of igloos (YES, igloos) on its ever-popular Lookout Roofdeck & Bar. The hotel is a definitive hot-spot during the warmer months, but with the New England winter in full swing, the staff put their heads together for a way to bring business in during the offseason.
The 7-foot-tall, 12-foot-wide weatherproof igloos are heated, of course, and are perfect for sipping cocktails while enjoying those skyline and harbor views. The igloos are available on a first come, first served basis on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from 4-10pm through April 15th. They feature comfortable seating and optimal lighting for any and all social media posts. ☺
Plus, if you or someone in your crew happens to find themselves with an empty drink, just flick a switch and a friendly member of the wait-staff will help you out. In other words, if this snow keeps up, you can find me posted up in one of these things until April.
And as a bonus this year, on Wednesday nights mixologist Brian McDougall will be crafting specialty cocktails to keep you warm!
