Way to go, Lambo!

On Thursday night, Chef Lambert Givens – executive chef of Hunter’ Kitchen + Bar – faced off against the Food Network’s celebrity chef, Bobby Flay.

The chefs were cooking up some gumbo for the competition – and if you’ve been to Hunter’s and have eaten the gumbo, you know it’s one of Chef Lambert’s specialties.  It’s his grandmother’s recipe and according to the judges on Thursday night’s episode it’s one of the best gumbo’s they’ve ever tasted.

    Sure wish I was able to find his Grandmothers gumbo recipe. I live in Texas and don’t think I’ll be visiting his restaurant any time soon. 😩

    We tried it last Thursday and loved it. Great atmosphere and terrific southern food. One thing we didn’t love was the heavy cinnamon taste on the pork ribs. Otherwise, they were cooked perfectly. Cocktails were excellent too.
