Field Trip: Tresca in the North End
Take a trip to the North End! Legendary Southie chef Rich Ansara – Amrheins, Sauce and Appetito – is now the executive chef and co-owner of Tresca in the North End with Bruins’ legend Ray Bourque.
Located on Hanover Street, the bi-level 120 seat restaurant recently received a refresh. For a more casual and lively vibe enjoy smaller plates and half size pasta dishes from their full menu downstairs – a fantastic spot before or after a Bruins or Celtics game with prime people watching overlooking Hanover Street!
Reserve a table upstairs for a fine dining experience. Tresca is perfect for a group get together or date night – ask about their special balcony seating for two! This table appropriately named #77 after Bourque himself. Share a bottle of wine from Tresca’s extensive wine list. Talk about romance!
Chef Ansara has also breathed new life into the menu. Adding his own signature touch to classic Italian food, Tresca offers an array of delicious starters like Anna Maria’s famous stuffed meatballs, roasted beet carpaccio and farmed raised mussels. Enjoy signature main dishes like amazingly delicious pumpkin risotto, eggplant cutlets, classic Chicken Parm, and Lobster Ravioli with sun-dried tomatoes in a creamy lobster sauce! You can check out the full menu here.
Normally, we never like to leave Southie but Chef Ansara’s delicious cooking makes it worth the trip to the North End. Make a reservation today – you’ll thank us later!
