Dry January/Sober Curious – Mocktails to try in the Neighborhood

Have you found yourself Caught In Dry January? Or maybe you’re just sober curious?

Last year, more than 260 million Americans joined in on the alcohol-free start to 2023. This year, many local restaurants and bars have prepped for the healthy resolution by creating new lineups of mocktail menu additions.  Here’s are roundup of mocktails to dry to keep your January dry…but not dry!

PKL, Hunter’s Kitchen & Bar and Yellow Door Taqueria are three, just to name a few.

Stop by PKL and get the Madonna (like a virgin but for real) or the Megan Thee
Stallion (for baddies only) mocktails that contain non-alcoholic spirits and things like condensed chocolate cream and cold brew!

Yellow Door has a line of premium zero-proof beverages like espresso martinis and Palomas that they are adding to their pre-existing mocktail menu. For them, it’s important to be able to give the designated driver, mom-to-be, or sober audience a delicious drink that isn’t just juice with soda water.

“The new premium offerings are us trying to elevate the program even more to give guests the chance to feel like they are actually enjoying spirit-forward cocktails that are zero-proof,” the YDT team said. “They can enjoy the energy and fun of our busy tequila-filled bars but stick to Dry January or any other health journey/lifestyle they are committed to!”

So, if you are trying to start a healthier lifestyle, are sober curious or have always preferred mocktails over cocktails, here are a few that you are going to want to try this month. And who knows, maybe Dry January will turn into Dry February!
