Downtown Irish Pub to close, a hotel in the Seaport could gain its liquor license
According to Boston Restaurant Talk, the An Tain – an Irish bar on India Street – will be closing its doors for good come January. The An Tain has petitioned the City of Boston licensing board to transfer its license to Hyatt Place Boston in the Seaport District. The Hyatt will use the license for a lobby bar and a 12th floor bar.
Hyatt Place Boston Seaport District is expected to open in the spring of 2020 with 294 guestrooms with 6,800 square feet of restaurant space on the ground floor of the hotel.
