With the temperatures slowly starting to dip, City Tap House has created a new CYOC (“Create Your Own Cocktail”) series to warm your hearts and bellies all winter season. On Friday, the Fort Point hotspot will debut a collection of “Handwarmers” that can come laced with up to three spirits (or served nonalcoholic) and topped with sugary additions.
Guests start with a base ($5) of hot chocolate, coffee or apple cider and then customize it to their taste buds, getting as creative as possible in the process. For spirits ($4 each), be a purist and select just one shot or test your palette by selecting up to three: Stoli vanilla, Captain Morgan, Skrewball peanut butter whiskey, Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Fire, Baileys, Frangelico and Dr. McGillicuddy’s. Create the perfect Instagram-able cocktail moment by loading it up with toppings ($.50 each, or $1 for a cinnamon stick) like whipped cream, mini marshmallows, holiday sprinkles, Heath bar, crushed candy canes or chocolate curls.
Keeping in the “handwarmer” spirit, City Tap also is collecting new gloves this holiday season where if you donate a pair, you’ll receive a QR code for a chance to win a collection of prizes ranging from gift cards to brewery merchandise.
