a new Southie restaurant

Southie might be gaining another pick in the ever-expanding restaurants choices.  According to boston.com, Coppersmith – a new restaurant and bar, would love to open across the street from the new development at 40 West Third Street (between A and B streets).  John Childs and his business partner Jerry Curtains pitched the idea to a West Broadway Neighborhood Association meeting on Tuesday night.

The restaurant would seat 250 and an additional outdoor patio space plus 20 customer parking spots.  The menu will feature American comfort food.  Coppersmith hopes to open its doors by spring of 2014.

Why are all the proposed new restaurants the same as the old restaurants?  They should just call this place Lincoln part II.

This does not at all seem to be another version of the Lincoln.  Take a look at these two videos that explain the concept & intentions of the restaurant.

I love the concept and I hope they can actually pull it off, because it seems very complex… might be one too many ideas for this to actually be a success.  They’ll figure it out.
