The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2024 semifinalist nominees for the James Beard Awards — one of the most prestigious awards a restaurant or chef can earn. The non-profit celebrates restaurants and chefs around the country in many categories!
We were happy to learn that John DaSilva – from South Boston’s own Chickadee – has been nominated for Best Chef in the Northeast! Way to go!
The wildly popular restaurant located at 21 Dry Dock opened back 2018 and serves up lunch and dinner featuring local farm ingredients with a Mediterranean twist.
The semifinalists will be whittled down to a short list of finalists that will be announced on Wednesday, April 3. Winners will be announced in an awards presentation on Monday, June 10 in Chicago.
Fingers crossed!
