Congratulations to Chickadee’s John DaSilva on his James Beard Award Nomination – 2025
The James Beard Foundation has announced its 2025 semifinalist nominees for the James Beard Awards — one of the most prestigious awards a restaurant or chef can earn. The non-profit celebrates restaurants and chefs around the country in many categories!
We were happy to learn that John DaSilva, from South Boston’s Chickadee , has been nominated for Best Chef in the Northeast. Way to go!
The wildly popular restaurant at 21 Dry Dock opened in 2018 and serves up lunch and dinner featuring local farm ingredients with a Mediterranean twist.
The semifinalists will be whittled down to a short list of finalists that will be announced on Wednesday, April 2, and winners will be announced at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards ceremony on Monday, June 16, at the Lyric Opera of Chicago.
