Seth Greenberg, one of Boston’s most successful restaurant and hospitality leaders announces the opening of Serafina Seaport. The spectacular new location is slated to open in early May 2022.
Serafina Seaport will be the big sister to Greenberg’s popular Serafina Newbury Street a smaller location that focuses primarily on homemade pizza and pasta. The new Serafina Seaport will offer a much larger menu and space in a prime waterfront location with floor-to-ceiling windows at 11 Fan Pier Blvd, steps away from the Boston Harborwalk. Serafina Seaport will also feature a large patio where guests can enjoy a meal along with a harbor breeze in the warmer months.
ABOUT THE CHEF & MENU
In addition to offering some of the best housemade pizza, pasta, and salad for which Serafina is known, the Serafina Seaport location is larger in size and will offer more menu items. Boston Chef de Cuisine Hector Hernandez will be at the helm of the kitchen. Chef Hernandez has been with Greenberg and Serafina for over 5 years and regularly collaborates with Serafina in New York City on the latest recipes and menu items.
Serafina’s produce consists of nothing less than the best, with locally sourced greens and seafood. Serafina Seaport features imported products like Parmesan, Burrata, tomatoes, Olive Oil, and XO Flour from Tuscany.
A few menu highlights include Rigatoni alla Bolognese with homemade meat sauce with beef, veal, and pork; Tartufo Nero Pizza with Robiola, Fontina, Black Truffle, Truffle Cheese, and Drizzled with Truffle Oil; Chicken Milanese with Organic Breaded Chicken, Roasted Tomato, Baby Arugula, and Parmigiano; Veal Scallopine al Limone with Broccolini, Roasted Potatoes, and a Lemon Caper Beurre Blanc. The Branzino al Cherry Tomatoes with White Wine Cherry Tomato Sauce, Asparagus, Basil Oil; Cioppino, with local White Fish, Mussels, Shrimp, Calamari, Spicy Tomato-Saffron broth; and the Avocado “San Pietro” with Baby Shrimp, Arugula, Grape Tomatoes, Cannellini Beans, Champagne-Mustard Sauce, and Lemon Aioli.
The Serafina Seaport location also features a separate pizza kitchen and bar where patrons can watch their pizza being prepared, cooked, and served fresh from the oven.
Serafina Seaport offers accommodations to guests who are gluten-free, vegetarian, or vegan.
ABOUT THE BEVERAGE PROGRAM
The wine cellar at Serafina Seaport is predominantly Italian, showcasing names like Antinorri, Gaja, and Sassicaia. In addition, the list features unique, hand-selected wines from well-known producers spanning across every major wine region. Serafina Seaport will also serve rare and limited wine by the glass, thanks to the restaurant’s Coravin system.
The beer list at Serafina Seaport highlights local staples like Sam Adams, Harpoon, Jack’s Abbey, Night Shift as well as Maine Lunch, and Cloud Candy from Mighty Squirrel. Craft cocktails and mocktails will change seasonally to include fresh ingredients, the finest spirits, and creative presentations. The cocktail list will also feature some twists on the classics, such as a tequila Negroni and a zero-proof old-fashioned.
THE SPACE
Designed by award-winning designer Petra Hausberger of Somerton Park Interiors, Serafina Seaport evokes the charm and easy sophistication of the 1950’s Italian Riviera in shades of sand, buff, pale green, rose, terracotta, and tan. Flanked by two private dining rooms, the restaurant’s seating areas surround a grouping of curved pecan leather banquettes enveloping two beautiful natural olive trees.
The artwork—Italian fashion photography, wall sculptures, and paintings—was carefully curated to evoke a retro feel. Serafina Seaport will have four 65” TVs at the bar and one in each private dining room. All major games and special events will be screened. They have the capability to do screen shares for presentations, slideshows, etc for private parties in the private dining rooms. Additionally, for private dining, the guests can hook up to the sound system via AUX cord to play their own music.
Serafina Seaport seats 114 people in the dining room, 20 bar seats, 14 seats at the counter of the pizza station, 22 outdoor patio seats, and two private rooms that hold 22 and 36 people. 228 total seats.The banquettes will seat 6-8 guests and will have the availability of 2 and 4 tops.
This location also has two private rooms for any and all occasions.

Founded in 1995 by Vittorio Assaf and Fabio Granato, Serafina Restaurant Group operates multiple locations in New York City. Additional US locations include East Hampton, White Plains, San Juan, and Miami.
