UPDATE: Molly Moo’s is Open for Business

Earlier report:

We consider ourselves to be on the pulse of what’s new in South Boston.  So with that in mind, we thought we’d let you know about this little nugget of information we discovered while making a turn onto East Second Street from L today.  On the ground floor window of the newly constructed building is a sign featuring a very happy cow for Molly Moo’s Homemade Ice Cream and Cafe!

Upon investigation we found out that Molly Moo’s used to be in Quincy but closed last year.  According to their Facebook page, Molly Moo’s found its new location in Southie in December.  Their last status update was on January 2nd and reads:

New location is coming along great.
Stay tuned for updates and pictures of our progress coming very soon!!

Molly Moo’s will be a welcomed addition to the ever growing population of new businesses!  We can’t wait for it to open!

All the owners who paid big bucks for the "luxury" condos up above can't be too happy. I for one wouldn't want to put up with the crowds, noise and vermin that come with a food establishment. On the other hand, Southie needs an ice cream shop.

And you want to be a social hero why don't you find a condo in Roxbury above a commercial establishment and move there?
