City Tap Hosts “Staycation at Our House” in Honor of National Rum Day

Fort Point hotspot throws a three-day tropically themed party
This weekend, City Tap House is infusing some flavors of the tropics into their “Staycation at Our House” three-day event. Coinciding with National Rum Day (August 16), the Fort Point hotspot will be decked in calypso-themed décor complete with floral leis for attendees.
While getting inked with a complimentary pirate-themed henna tattoo, sip cocktail specials from Friday through Sunday, including a Blueberry Mojito ($13) with Diplomático rum, mint, blue puree and soda water with fresh blueberries; classic, strawberry, banana and mango Tableside Daiquiris ($12) with Diplomático rum and lime juice; and a Painkiller with Diplomático rum, crème de coconut, pineapple and orange juices, topped with ground nutmeg. From the kitchen, there will be tropical bites, including coconut shrimp ($17) with chili-apricot glaze; pan-seared jerk chicken ($24) with coconut rice and jalapeño-pineapple salsa; and bananas foster ($14) with seared bananas, butter-rum sauce, toasted pecans, and vanilla ice cream.
Saturday from 8pm through midnight, DJ ETabz will be in the house mixing reggaeton and island music.
