Weekend Picks – Labor Day Weekend

Eat:
Since it’s the last official weekend of summer spend it on the water!  The South Boston Waterfront is packed with hot spots from young and trendy to refined and elegant.  Sit seaside, enjoy the view and share a meal with someone special.  Bonus – there are fireworks on Saturday night!

Drink:

Watch:
Get ready to be dazzled by fireworks over Boston Harbor on Saturday, September 3rd at 8:30pm!  Best viewing locations are East Boston’s Piers Park, Christopher Columbus Park, Long Wharf, and of course Southie’s Seaport District!

Play:
The Lawn on D will be packed with activity this weekend!  On Saturday and Sunday the lawn will be transformed into a massive canvas for street artists and performers. Both days will feature an art walk, roving entertainment, and live music, plus karaoke, trivia, movies, and so much more for a guaranteed weekend of fun! Dance:
Hop a ferry, head to Georges Island and enjoy the music! Brass bands descend upon the island and promises to fill the air with New Orleans jazz, gypsy swing, and big band music brought to you by some of Boston’s favorite brass ensembles. Catch performances by the Second Line Social Aid and Pleasure Society Brass Band, Emperor Norton’s Stationary Marching Band, and School of HONK as they wander throughout the island and Fort Warren.

Brunch:
We jammin’! Keep summer going at Loco on Monday, September 5th with the Endless Summer Brunch featuring live music Conscious Reggae!  Brunch will be available from 10am-3pm with the band starting at 11am!  Executive Chef Matt Drummond will be serving up signature brunch dishes and Will Falaro will be stirring up a cocktails and margaritas all day.  See you there!
