South Boston artist, Jodie Baehre is proud of her hometown and is showing her new paintings and prints of local neighborhoods as part of the Fort Point Open Studios this weekend.   Her work is bold and beautiful and we can’t wait to hang one of her urban landscapes on our wall.

Jodie was recently recognized as a nominee for The Boston Foundation’s Brother Thomas Fellowship and her work has been popping up around the neighborhood from local restaurants like Local 149 to big businesses including the new State Street Bank on A Street.  For more informationa bout Jodie’s work visit: http://www.jodiebaehre.com

Fort Point Open Studios takes place October 16th – 18th.  Pick up a map and explore the studios and warehouses that are home to painters, sculptors, ceramicists, jewelers, performance artists, printmakers, book artists, photographers, and more. Meet and chat with artists in their studios and discover new works and treasured favorites.  See Fort Point’s art galleries and find public art installations throughout the neighborhood including a giant floating sheep in the Chanel.
