Have Coffee with Mayor Wu on Monday
Got something on your mind? Mayor Michelle Wu’s Neighborhood Coffee Hours are coming to Southie on Monday, September 14th, from 5:30pm-6:30pm at the Curley Community Center. Stop by for coffee and conversation with Mayor Wu and City staff, ask questions, and share any neighborhood concerns. There will also be free Dunkin’ coffee and donuts, fresh fruit, flowering plants, and more while supplies last.
South Boston Street Fest is Saturday
One of our favorite Southie days of the year is back! The South Boston Street Fest takes over East Broadway between I and L streets on Saturday, September 19th. Expect more than 100 local businesses, artists, and organizations, plus live entertainment, food, shopping, kids’ activities, and plenty of neighborhood fun. And make sure you stop by and say hello to us at the Caught in Southie booth! We will be giving away lots of fun stuff plus selling a limited-edition Southie baseball cap and Caught in Southie totes!
Bardo’s is Turning 5!
Happy birthday to Bardo’s Bar Pizza! The Southie pizza spot celebrates its 5th anniversary on Wednesday, September 23rd, with $5 cheese pizzas for dine-in customers — limit one per order — plus buy four frozen pizzas and get the fifth free, limit one purchase per person. There will also be a limited-edition anniversary hat available for purchase. And football fans, Bardo’s is offering game-day deals every Sunday and during every Patriots game all season long: buy two pizzas and get 50% off an order of wings, plus add a sauce flight for $4.
Teriyaki House is Back
A longtime Southie favorite is back in business! Teriyaki House, has reopened its doors. If you’ve been missing the rice bowls, sushi, General Tso’s Chicken, and other favorites, now is your chance to welcome them back to the neighborhood. Get all the details here.
Broadway Restaurant Group is Hiring
Looking for a new job in the neighborhood? Broadway Restaurant Group (Capo, Lincoln, Loco, Hunters, Park City, Dalia, plus Monument, Waverly and Prima) is hosting a hiring fair on Tuesday, September 22nd, with two chances to stop by. The first session takes place from 10am-2pm at Capo, followed by a second session from 5pm-8pm at Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar.
