Yet another car crash at L & 6th

On Thursday afternoon, there was a car crash at the dangerous intersection of L & 6th. In the past few years, there have been numerous crashes at the intersection – including the deadly one back in 2018 that tragically took the life of 2-year-old Colin McGrath.
And on Thursday, with few cars on the road, another crash at this intersection. (Evidently the person driving the car on East Sixth crossing through L failed to stop at the Stop sign.)
Drivers need to pay attention and slow down. This is a neighborhood. Speed and driver distraction have been factors in many of these crashes.
Back in August of 2018, City Councilor Ed Flynn created the 12 point safe street plan.
Maybe it’s time to revisit this.
