National Development is taking over South Boston
Every since the City of Boston changed the zoning for the Old Colony Ave/Dot. Ave Corridor, that area of the neighborhood is rapidly transforming from old warehouses and factory buildings into residential developments complete with restaurants and retail.
National Development, behind much of the development including Washington Village and Tatte Bakery headquarters, has acquired 297-299 Dorchester Ave.
According to Boston Business Journal, National Development has grown its holding with a $15.5 million acquisition of a warehouse near Broadway Station. No word yet what it will be developed into but we would guess residential and commercial! This development will be part of the mixed-use project on at least 10 acres in that neighborhood.
