Coyote Warning for Southie

Coyotes are no strangers to Southie. They’ve been spotted many times in the past around the neighborhood. Apparently they come around for the Canada Geese and the nightlife.
Back in September, one was spotted on 7th Street between H & I. And just last week, CIS received video footage of a coyote just chilling on the greenie between G and Old Harbor across from the bak park.
Police are warning people to beware – coyotes can be aggressive and like to eat pets – so be aware of your surrounding – especially early in the morning.
Speaking of pets, Oreo the chihuahua, was attacked on East Eighth Street on Tuesday and has a $1000 vet bill to prove it.
According the WHDH, the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Police and Boston police responded to the scene.
