It’s the 246th Anniversary of the Boston Tea Party! On December 16, 1773, a bunch of colonists who had it up to here with England, dumped some tea into Boston Harbor and started a revolution.

Help celebrate our freedom by watching re-enactors make history come to life. The fun begins at 6:30pm! 

The Annual Boston Tea Party reenactment consists of three parts:
6:30 – 7:30 p.m. – Starts with a fiery tea tax debate at the historic Old South Meeting House, the actual hall where Boston colonists/Patriots gathered to protest ‘ taxation without representation’

7:30 – 8:00 p.m. – A lively procession to Boston’s historic waterfront — Milk St. to Congress St. to Pearl St. — the same streets the Patriots marched down

8:00 – 8:30 p.m. – Ends with a reenactment of the Sons’ of Liberty destruction of actual tea from the East India Company (the SAME company, still in existence today in London, from which the tea came during the actual Boston Tea Party) into Boston Harbor at the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum. This portion of the event is free and open to the public.
