Vandalism overnight at World War II Memorial
We are saddened to report that the World War II Memorial was vandalized. According to City Councilor Ed Flynn, it appears that oil was poured over the granite memorial stones at some point overnight. Flynn was alerted to the vandalism on Monday morning. Massachusetts State Police are investigating and a cleaning company that specializes in granite and marble has been contacted.
The World War II Memorial is located at the beginning of the causeway heading out to Castle Island
