Lace-up those bowling shoes!
Head to East Broadway to Southie Candlepin and bowl a few strings at this old-school institution! They are open daily 12pm-7pm. Are big balls more of your thing? Kings Dining & Entertainment in the Seaport District offers all kinds of fun! This new hot spot features 20,000 square feet of fun at 60 Seaport Boulevard complete with 16 lanes of big ball bowling, a “bar-Kade” filled with video games, pool tables, foosball a giant four-man air hockey table, shuffleboard, and hoops!
Library fun

Let’s go skating!
Looking for a fun way to keep the kids entertained? Lace up the skates and hit the ice. The Murphy Rink is now offering public skating. If you don’t have skates, don’t worry, you can rent them! If your blades are dull, you can get them sharpened there too! Public Skating Hours:
Go Wild at Franklin Park Zoo!
February School Vacation at Franklin Park Zoo, Franklin Park Zoo, February 20th – 24th: Franklin Park Zoo is your ticket to a wild time during February school vacation week! Winter school break is the perfect time to connect with incredible wildlife and spend a memorable day with family and friends exploring all the Zoo has to offer. All activities are taking place inside the balmy Tropical Forest, where guests will learn about the amazing adaptations of animals during the cold winter months. Children’s Winter Festival
Mayor Michelle Wu and the Boston Parks and Recreation Department present the annual Children’s Winter Festival on the Boston Common Parade Ground on Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The festival will feature treats, promotions, and fun giveaways. The free festival is open to all and offers music, giveaways, winter activities, treats, and crafts. You can get more details here!
Lego Maritime Festival At the USS Constitution Museum
Let your imagination set sail this February School Vacation Week! Head to the USS Constitution Museum to build your own ship with LEGO® and DUPLO® bricks. While here, find inspiration from our model ship exhibit Masters in Miniature. In the hands of a creative kid – or kid at heart – a pile of colorful bricks can become an aircraft carrier, a party boat, or USS Constitution!
All ages are invited to build and enter their ships into the annual USS Constitution Museum’s LEGO® Ship Shape Competition.

Boston Parks Department Open Gym
