Turkey Trot
It is Southie’s 2nd Annual Turkey Trot! The walk/run will be held on Wednesday, November 22nd at 2pm. The trot will take place around Castle Island and a reception to follow at The Loco Lounge. This year, all the proceeds will go to a great cause. Casa Myrna is a non-profit focused on aiding domestic violence survivors in Boston. Register here!
Pie and Pasta Making Class
Capo is hosting a pie and pasta-making class on Thursday, November 16th at 6 pm. The class will teach you how to make the perfect apple pie and pasta. You will also get to enjoy pasta while your pie bakes. Make your reservations here!
Friendsgiving at Castle Island Brewery
Head on down to Castle Island Brewery for a Friendsgiving celebration on November 18th all day long. Castle Island Brewery has invited their friends, aka other breweries, to show off their brews. The breweries joining will be Aeronaut Brewing Co, Brockton Beer Co, Wandering Soul, Remnant Brewing, Brick & Feather and Loophole Brewing. They will also have live music and games.
Southie Tuesday Before Turkey Fest with Dalton and The Sheriffs
Southie’s favorite band is celebrating Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 21st at Capo Supper Club from 8-11pm. They will also be doing giveaways for their show at the House of Blues on 12/29. Get your tickets here!
Calling for Volunteers
Msgr. Thomas J McDonnell and Frank Kelly Thanksgiving Dinner is looking for volunteers to deliver and serve Thanksgiving dinner at St. Monica’s Church. Volunteers will meet at St. Monica’s at 9am on Thanksgiving. If you are unable to volunteer, they are also accepting donations. Donations can be made in checks payable to South Boston Seaport Collaborative Memo Thanksgiving Dinner 2023. Checks can be dropped off to Deja Brew on East Broadway.
Thanksgiving Eve Celebrations
Dennis Taylor will be playing on Thanksgiving Eve at the Seapoint! Get your dancing shoes ready!
The Broadway is celebrating Thanksgiving Eve with a Bruins Watch Party complete with Shotskis!
DJ Kait will be playing on Thanksgiving Eve at 10pm at Layla’s.

Need a break from the family after your Thanksgiving dinner? Hunter’s is open at 5pm for drinks and snakcs!
MyStryde Thanksgiving Day Slay
This class combines intervals on the tread and strength work on the floor. You’ll be on and off the tread several times during this 75-minute class. Takes place on Thanksgiving at 8 am. You can register here!
Franklin Park Turkey Trot
Thanksgiving morning, Thursday, November 23, 2023 from 9-10am. Come for a fun 5K, chip-timed, run or walk to start your holiday. Bring family and friends. Starts at the Franklin Park Golf Clubhouse, One Circuit Drive, Dorchester, MA 02121. $35 for adults, $18 for under 18, and free for 5 and under. Funds support great programs in Franklin Park all year long. Strollers and race-friendly, leashed dogs welcome. Prizes for best costumes and male/female/non-binary age group winners.
