Join Zoo New England for a virtual happy hour series, where you’ll hear from Zoo experts and learn more about the passion, care and commitment that fuels their work to save species from extinction and inspires caring and action on behalf of wildlife and wild places. This is a great opportunity to plan a virtual meet-up with friends, learn about the natural world and enjoy your favorite cocktail from the comfort of your own home. All proceeds support Zoo New England’s Franklin Park Zoo and Stone Zoo.

The February session is entitled “Sex at the Zoo: Mating rituals and Attraction in the Animal Kingdom”and is taking place on February 18 from 6-7pm.  Participants are invited to join Zoo New England for an inquisitive chat about private lives of animals. Do animals find each other appealing or attractive? What are the similarities and differences between human and animal courtship? What can the techniques that animals use to attract mates teach us about friendship and romance? (Note: This talk is geared toward adults.)

It’s a great opportunity to plan a virtual meet-up with friends, participants will learn about this fascinating topic while enjoying a cocktail all from the comfort of home. Short Path Distillery is providing cocktail recipes, and the Zoo is giving away fun door prizes, including behind-the-scenes tours of the sloth at Stone Zoo or red panda at Franklin Park Zoo, a $50 Short Path Distillery gift certificate, and daytime general admission tickets to Zoo New England.
