The Head of the Charles Regatta 2026

Since 1965, the Head of the Charles Regatta has brought the world’s rowing community to the banks of Boston’s Charles River. What began as a local rowing competition has grown into one of the largest and most celebrated regattas in the world, attracting hundreds of thousands of athletes, spectators, and rowing enthusiasts each year.

Registration

Competitors must submit an online application to be considered for participation in the Head of the Charles Regatta. Due to the event’s popularity, submitting an application does not guarantee entry.

The Draw

The Regatta receives significantly more applications each year than there are available spots. Entries are selected according to the event’s established rules and guidelines.
