Christmas in July at City Tap House

On July 26 from 4pm through midnight, City Tap House is decking the halls with garland as they make spirits bright for Christmas in July. Complete with costume contests and an artificial pine tree – the very best part of Christmas! – City Tap will be joined by DJ Liz Ladoux mixing XMAS tunes (cue Mariah) with a special guest appearance by the curmudgeon-turned-sap Grinch from 6-9pm. On the menu? Grinch Guacamole ($13) with tortilla chips; Christmas Caprese ($12), skewers of mozzarella and cherry tomatoes with fresh basil drizzled with balsamic glaze and olive oil; and 34th Street Pizza ($19), a piece of red-and-green accented ‘za topped with pesto, roasted tomatoes, provolone and baby arugula with shaved parmesan. Ditch the glass of milk because City Tap’s little helpers – festively dressed in Slane Whiskey Santa hats – have something a little stronger up their (elf) sleeves: Iced Irish Coffee ($12) with Slane Irish whiskey, Bailey’s and Kahlua; Iced Spiked Chocolate ($12) with Slane Irish whiskey, chocolate Bailey’s and milk; Jack Frost Shot Ski ($36) with Jack Daniels Fire and Dr. McGillicuddy shots for-four; and North Pole Punch ($12) with vodka, pomegranate, cranberry and orange juices plus Sierra Mist.
