Register for the Colin’s Joy Project 5K

The annual Colin’s Joy Project 5K returns to the neighborhood on Saturday, September 26th for a morning of running, walking, and community fun! The day kicks off with two youth races — a 100-meter dash for ages 9 and under at 8:15am and a half-mile race for ages 14 and under at 8:30am. The 5K begins at 9am and takes runners and walkers along South Boston’s scenic beaches. After the race, stick around for light refreshments, entertainment, awards, and a chance to pick up some Colin’s Joy Project merch. The first 250 registered 5K participants will also receive a race shirt. Registration is $30 for the 5K and $15 for the youth races You can register here!

History in Motion

USS Constitution is scheduled to get underway on Friday, September 25th from Charlestown Navy Yard at 10:00 A.M. The cruise will be visible from the Boston Harborwalk, Castle Island, and Charlestown Navy Yard. A 21-gun salute will be fired at approximately 11:30 A.M., viewable from Fort Independence on Castle Island. Followed by a 17-gun salute in front of the US Coast Guard Base around 12:25pm. While you’re out there, you might as well grab lunch at Sully’s, right?

Bardo’s is Turning 5!

Happy birthday to Bardo’s Bar Pizza! Mahjong Monday at Hamersley’s Pantry

Want to learn how to play Mahjong? Hamersley’s Pantry is hosting a two-week beginner course on Monday, October 19 and Monday, October 26 from 6:30–8:30pm.
