Brookline Lunch is opening a new diner in the old L Street Diner spot.

Some exciting news for the neighborhood! The family behind the beloved Brookline Lunch in Cambridge is opening a second location right here in Southie at 108 L Street, at the corner of L and East Fifth Street.
The owners made the announcement on Instagram on Sunday.

Brookline Lunch has been a Cambridge staple for 38 years and three generations, known for its classic diner feel and seriously popular breakfast and brunch. Now, the family is bringing that same neighborhood vibe to South Boston.
The new Southie spot has been in the works for the past four months, complete with a facelift and new signage. According to Brookline Lunch, they’re hoping to start serving up their first plates very soon, with an official opening date still TBA.
We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.
