Boston’s end-of-summer tradition is back. On Thursday, August 28, the skies over Boston Harbor will once again sparkle with the return of the Illuminate the Harbor fireworks display. Presented by Boston Harbor Now in partnership with Meet Boston, this annual celebration marks the start of Labor Day Weekend and offers locals and visitors alike one last chance to soak in the magic of summer on the waterfront.

The 12th annual Illuminate the Harbor kicks off Labor Day Weekend with a free fireworks display over Boston Harbor and festive waterfront programming, including live music. This summer, Illuminate the Harbor commemorates the Anniversary of the 250th American Revolution with fireworks celebrating the critical role Boston Harbor played during the historic early resistance.
