Body recovered off New Hampshire identified as South Boston man.

A South Boston man is deceased, and an unattended death investigation continues in Rye.
On July 13, 2025, the New Hampshire State Police (NHSP) Marine Patrol responded to reports of a human body seen floating in the ocean near the Isle of Shoals. Upon arrival, Marine Patrol Officers located and recovered the remains of an unidentified individual, believed to be male.
With assistance from the NHSP Major Crime Unit and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office, the deceased man has been identified as David Paul Stover Shader, 35, of South Boston, Massachusetts.
Investigation has yet to fully determine the details of Shader’s entry into the water. Shader was last seen in the Boston area, and his death is not believed to be suspicious. There is no known cause for concern for public safety related to this matter.
