Community Alert: BPD Investigators Seek the Public’s Help to Solve the Murder of Karina Holmer

On June 23, 1996, BPD Homicide Detectives began their investigation into the murder of 20-year-old Karina Holmer who was last seen on June 22, 1996, in the area of Tremont Street and Boylston Place in Downtown Boston.

As the anniversary of her tragic death approaches, investigators assigned to the BPD Unsolved Homicide Unit are seeking the public’s help to solve this heinous crime. Any piece of information, no matter how small or seemingly insignificant, could make a tremendous difference in the course of this decade’s long investigation.
The Boston Police Department Unsolved Homicide Unit continues to review the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to this investigation to contact (617) 343-4470.
