City Councilor-at Large Julia Mejia addressing the fireworks situation

If we had a nickel for all the tweets and emails we received regarding the incessant fireworks in the neighborhood, we’d have a lot of nickels. Last week, BPD confiscated a large amount of illegal fireworks in South Boston, and Mattapan, in addition to making an arrest in East Boston, but the nightly shows keep going on in neighborhoods across the city.
According to Universal Hub, City Councilor-at-Large Julia Mejia will be hosting an online session with youth leaders and a mental-health counselor to try to solve the fireworks situation.
The online session will take place on Thursday at 6pm via Zoom and Mejia’s facebook page. If you want to be a part of it, you can email for log in info – [email protected]
