See:
Watch the USS Constitution make a turnaround on Friday, October 19th! She’ll be getting underway from Charlestown at 10am to celebrate the Constitution’s 221st birthday and the U.S. Navy’s 243rd birthday! The ship will travel to Fort Independence where she’ll be firing off a 21 gun salute around 11:30am. Continue the celebration and order up a little lunch from Sullivan’s! How does a cheeseburger or a chili dogs sound?

Do:
Remember Michael “Mickey” Perkins. A special 100th Anniversary Celebration in Memory of Michael J. Perkins – Congressional Medal of Honor recipient will take place on Friday, October 19th at 6:30pm at Florian Hall.  There will be dancing, music, raffles and more!  All proceeds will benefit the Michael J. Perkins Post in South Boston. Tickets are $20. On Saturday, October 20th, a road race will take place at 9am. The 3.32 mile loop will begin and end at M Street/Medal of Honor Park, the location of Perkins’ Medal of Honor obelisk, and be a simple clockwise loop of Pleasure Bay. Registration can be done the morning of the race or online here! 

Watch:
Lots of sports happening this weekend!  The Bruins play the Canucks on Saturday night at 10pm.  The Celtics face the Raptors Friday night at 8pm and then the Knicks on Saturday at 7:30pm.  The Pats go head to head with the Bears on Sunday at 1pm.  Here are 10 Places in Southie to Watch all these games!

Tour:
Have you ever wanted to see the inside of the Edison? Don’t miss our public tour this Saturday October 20th from 9am-10am. It’s a chance to get a look at the beautiful historic turbine halls and hear about our plans for the site. For more information about this project visit here!

Tour Again:
You can say goodbye to the old Gate of Heaven School building before it’s torn down to make way for parking…..so if you’re into that sort of thing stop by on Sunday, October 21st from 9am-12pm.  The old school building will be open for one last visit.  Refreshments will be served.  Then bring on the wrecking ball. #carsbeforecondos

Moms Workout:
Enjoy a free moms workout on Sunday, October 21st at 11am at Dorchester Heights! The instructors of Boston Naps– Coe, Heidi, and Kayla – will lead this class that includes cardio, strength and core workouts and a yoga cool-down.This class is open to expecting mamas or mamas with babies/kids (feel free to wear your baby or bring your stroller) Meet at Dorchester Heights at the Thomas Park Entrance across from Pacific Street.
