Sean Coyle, BFD
Let’s hear it for local hottie Sean Coyle, a Boston firefighter of Ladder 19 (K Street) who braved the cold to rescue a dog who fell through the ice at Pleasure Bay on Thursday morning.
According to the BostonHerald.com, a 13 year-old Husky named Sylvie ran across the ice and fell through. Sylvie had been in the frigid water for almost a half and hour before she was rescued by Sean and returned to her owner.
We’re glad that firefighters like Sean Coyle are watching out for everyone in Southie, including our pets!

If the dog was on a leash this would not have happened. Because of someone’s neglance, a firefighter had to brave the frigid waters and an innocent dog was in harm’s way. Owners need to be held accountable. Thanks to the bravery of Sean Coyle the dog was rescued. This should not have happened.
