Update:

The missing statue containing family ashes that was taken from a family’s driveway last week, was returned on Monday morning.  Jessyca Doyle woke up around 4am to discover the Charlie Chaplin statue was back where it belonged!

“I would like to thank everyone for getting the word out and looking for my loved ones that have passed on. I would like to thank the person for bringing it back and doing the right thing. Sometimes it’s hard to focus on the good things when so much bad happens, but in this situation, I would like to focus on all the kindness and help that was offered,” said Jessyca.

Original Post:

The Doyle family, a lifelong South Boston family, is desperately seeking a statue that contains family members’ ashes.  The statue was stolen from the family’s property in the Dorchester Heights area of South Boston.  (Pictured in photo above.)

“My father and grandfather recently passed, and we decided on a unique way to put them to rest,” said Jessyca Doyle.

If you have the statue or have seen the statue in another part of the neighborhood, please kindly reach out to Jessyca Doyle via email here.

As you can imagine, this statue has great sentimental value to the Doyle family.

“We’ll take it back, no questions asked, or if they want to leave it somewhere and call 617-268-8424, my grandmother and I will go grab it. We understand that someone could’ve taken it and thought it was a joke and didn’t know what they were really taking,” Jessyca added.
