Remembering a Son of South Boston
The legendary tradition of the St. Patrick’s Day Breakfast will happen once again on Sunday in South Boston with Senator Nick Collins as host. This year’s breakfast will be dedicated to the life and legacy of Pierce Norton, a Boston Police officer, husband and father, and friend of Collins, who passed away suddenly in January.
“This year’s Breakfast is dedicated to my friend, Boston Police Officer the late Pierce F. Norton. Pierce was a fun-loving guy taken from us too soon and respected by all those he worked with and served. The Committee is honored to dedicate this year’s Breakfast to Pierce’s life and legacy,” said Collins.
Pierce began his public service career as a paraprofessional with Boston Public Schools. In 2013, he graduated from the Boston Police Department Academy and was sworn in as an officer in December 2013.
