Get Ready for a Spooktacular Fun in the Neighborhood: Trick-or-Treating on Broadway & the Return of Castle Island’s Magical Castle
Things are getting a little spooky in the neighborhood with the return of two favorite family-friendly events!
Trick or Treating on Broadway
Beware of little ghosts and goblins (and their parents) roaming the streets in search of Halloween candy. East and West Broadway will be filled with trick-or-treaters, picking up candy from local businesses and residences on Thursday, October 31st, from 4 pm to 6 pm.Â
For over 20 years, this event has been free and is hosted by the members of the South Boston Chamber of Commerce. A special pedestrian traffic flow has been requested, to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants! If traveling from East Broadway to West Broadway, stay on the even-numbered side of the street. If traveling from West Broadway to East Broadway, stay on the odd-numbered side of the street
The Return of the Castle Island Magical Castle
It’s Back! For past few years, the Castle Island Magical Castle was put on hold, first due to the pandemic and then due to lack of volunteers. Well, we are happy to report that this beloved neighborhood Halloween event will return this year!
The Castle Island Magical Castle will take place on Saturday, October 26th and Sunday, October 27th from 12noon-4pm. FREE ADMISSION! There will be storytelling, costumes are encouraged and children must be accompanied by an adult!
Make sure to check out our Halloween Guide – we will be updating it daily!
