NYE Picks: Where to ring in 2019!

And just like that, 2018 is almost over. New Year’s Eve is the biggest party night of the year. But why not skip the frenzy downtown, the struggle for a cab and the fight for a drink and stay local? Here are some of our favorite picks for a very Southie New Year’s Eve. (Make sure to check back, as this roundup will be updated!)

Capo Restaurant
Enjoy New Year’s Eve dinner in Capo’s expansive dining room with rustic Italian dishes and seasonal specials from Chef Nick Dixon and festive libations from Beverage Director Kevin Mabry.

The Supper Club at Capo
Downstairs at Capo is a guaranteed good time on New Year’s Eve! Join The Supper Club for a New Year’s Eve celebration with Vince King & DJ Silent Partner. Doors open at 8pm with complimentary stationary charcuterie and pizza station until midnight. Enjoy live music by Vincent King starting at 9pm followed by DJ Silent Partner until 2am! Tickets are $100 and include admission, live music, stationary charcuterie and chef’s selection of pizza, a photo booth, and complimentary coat check. This event is 21+ with valid ID. Publico
Publico will be open for dinner until 9pm with their full menu available plus some NYE specials! Call to make reservations or book through open table. After 9 pm, the NYE celebration gets raised a level with a DJ, passed appetizers, and a champagne toast. Tickets can be purchased here. 

Lincoln Tavern
Enjoy Lincoln’s full dinner menu with Chef’s special menu additions. Plus specialty cocktail menu and champagne list. Dinner Reservations strongly suggested. Email [email protected] to book. DJ Lazy Boy from 9pm – 2am. Party favors will be available while supplies last!

Row 34
Be fancy at Row 34 this New Year’s Eve. Chef Jeremy Sewall featuring a luxe pairing of Ossetra Caviar and NV Krug Grande Cuvee champagne. Guests can enjoy caviar in several ways like: Traditional Caviar Service, with Toasted Brioche and Classic Garnishes, Potato Latkes with Caviar, Salmon Pastrami, Creme Fraiche, Red Onion Relish and Smoked and Cured Board with Ossetra Caviar Supplement!

Kings Dining & Entertainment
Kings is celebrating with a party through the decades event on NYE! Night Includes: Live DJ mixing all your favorite beats from every decade, Dine Then, Bowl reservations (space is limited, $10/person deposit for reservations) Lane Packages with food, drinks & bowling included, Family Friendly Lane Packages during the afternoon and early evening, Great food & drink features!  To learn more or make a reservation, visit here! 

Seapoint
It’s no fuss NYE at one of our favorite Southie spots – the Seapoint! Enjoy a steak tip dinner and play some pool. Share some appetizers like their delicious potato skins and watch a game. And then ring in 2019 with friends and neighbors! Plenty of parking and No Cover!

Backyard Betty’s
Betty’s will be celebrating a retro-themed NYE party starting at 8pm! Take it back to the good old days with some of your favorite hits from the 1970’s to early 2000’s. Enjoy a champagne or beer toast at midnight. Head to the Garage Bar for some awesome drinks, and hang a left onto the indoor Lawn on Broadway where you can play some indoor lawn games, while trying some of Betty’s homecooked bites! Roza Lyons
One of the coziest and friendliest bars in Southie, Roza Lyons will be celebrating NYE – open until 2am. Enjoy a champagne toast at midnight! NO COVER CHARGE!

Loco Taqueria & Oyster Bar
Loco is celebrating 2019 with not one but two days of brunch. Monday enjoy NYE Day brunch – well, it’s anything but usual at Loco – starting at 10am. On Tuesday, enjoy a holiday brunch beginning at 10am. And don’t worry, Loco will be ringing in 2019 with a DJ playing all your favorite dance music!

Fat Baby
Round up your crew and head to Fat Baby for large format cocktails, dumplings, ramen, sushi and more! A dj will be spinning tunes!

Shenannigans
Celebrate New Year’s Eve at Shenannigans! No cover charge.  DJ playing all your favorite songs. Champagne Toast at Midnight. Great giveaways on the night. What more do you need?

Lucky’s Lounge
Hear ye, hear ye! Come one, come all to Lucky’s Lounge New Year’s Eve Royal Masquerade Ball and make your grand entrance into 2019!Lucky’s will be throwing an evening to remember for you and your friends. Dress up to live like royalty and end the year in style. Dance all night long with live music featuring “The Royal Furs” and “DJ Carl Stenzel”. Enjoy royal party favors, masquerade masks, and decor fit for any king or queen. Chef Josh Freedman will be serving a buffet with everyone’s Chinatown favorites for a splendid last supper of 2018. Both locations of Boston Chops, South End and Downtown Crossing will be offering guests a three-course prix fixe menu this NYE for $99 per person. Dinner reservations can be made by visiting here!

Usher in the new year by celebrating all the years before it at Kings’ Party Through the Decades NYE bash! On Monday, December 31st, all Kings MA locations (Seaport, Back Bay, Dedham, Lynnfield, and Burlington) will offer: Live DJ mixing all your favorite beats from every decade Lunch/dinner and dine-then-bowl reservations (dining reservations subject to a $10 deposit per person)
