Your favorite bar, your neighborhood pub, that one restaurant you go to for celebrations and birthdays and good times, the bartender that always remembers your name, the cooks that make your favorite dish perfectly every single time…

These are the people that need your help now more than ever. As of March 17th, Governor Charlie Baker advised that all restaurants and bars are required to close in-house dining until April 6th. Although necessary, this public health precaution will hurt thousands of employees financially for weeks to come.

The following local companies have stepped up to the plate in a big way:

#RallyForRestaurants

Boston based company Toast Tab, provides technologic support for restaurants, jumped into action. Toast is providing restaurants with additional technological support during this time in addition to launching a Social Media based campaign called @rallyforrestaurants. They are urging supporters to help the restaurant community navigate this crisis together by sharing the #RallyforRestaurants via social media. Every time someone shares their contribution using the hashtag #RallyforRestaurants and tagging the restaurant, we’ll give $1 to Toast.org (up to $250,000) to provide direct support to restaurant workers affected by COVID-19.
