Here’s a roundup of local coffee shops in Southie! Now more than ever it’s important to show them some love and support.

American Provisions

Located right at the corner of I and Broadway, American Provisions is home of some of South Boston’s best organic coffee, selected artisan cheese, charcuterie, specialty foods, delicious deli sandwiches and an amazing selection of local craft beers and wines. As one of South Boston’s favorite spots, American Provisions offers Flat Black Coffee – roasted in Dorchester. American Provisions gourmet organic house blend coffees are a great pick-me-up for your commute to work or maybe a leisurely stroll on Castle Island.  American Provisions also cold brews their iced coffee- allowing for an iced brew that isn’t acidic, bitter or burnt!  This Best of Boston winner aims to please and does just that with its friendly and knowledgeable staff, eclectic selection of farm-to-table products, and plenty of items to surprise and delight.

PS Gourmet

This legendary local coffee shop, located on the corner of Dorchester Street has quickly built a substantial Southie fan base, and for very good reason.  Home of the famous bucket, PS offers an abundance of equally delicious flavored coffees and with no syrup added.  It’s all in the beans!  Some of their favorites include snickerdoodle, swirl (a combo of hazelnut and french vanilla), bananas foster, and of course, the PS Special.  This dessert-like special is a mix of cinnamon hazelnut and toasted almond coffee.  Each coffee is blasting with flavor, but with just a touch of sweetness.  PS Gourmet is located on 104 Dorchester Street.

Olga’s Kafe

The newly open coffee shop on West Broadway is owned and operated by Southie native Olga Markos. Olga’s Kafe serves up breakfast, lunch and pastries – and because she’s Greek – she takes her coffee seriously! Olga’s coffee beans are flavored so there’s no added syrups. Stop by at 206 West Broadway and check it out!

Deja Brew

Deja Brew – formally Cranberry Cafe – is located at K and Broadway and now features an adorable patio out front! Stop by for their delicious coffee, breakfast, and lunch!  Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram too!

Lulu Green

This “plant-based fast-casual restaurant” located at 246 West Broadway serves up breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition to delicious food, they also serve amazing coffee and tea! Lulu Green proudly serves direct trade single origin coffee by Barismo and find organic teas by Rishi and local herbal blends by Farmacy Herbs!

Annie’s

In addition to Annie’s Bakery you can pick up muffins, donuts, pastries, and some the biggest (and delicious) breakfast sandwiches in the neighborhood.

Sidewalk Cafe

This locally owned coffee shop is known for their crowd-pleasing breakfast sandwiches – you’ve seen the lines on the weekends! Their extensive list of flavors of both hot and iced coffees keeps the Sidewalk a local favorite!

Broadway’s Pastry + Coffee

This West Broadway cafe offers coffee, tea, pastries and light bites in a cozy setting.  From rich desserts to hearty breakfast sandwiches, Broadway’s Pastry + Coffee is a great neighborhood spot for coffee!

Cannonball Cafe

Located at 383 Dorchester Avenue, Cannonball Cafe – a new breakfast and lunch gathering spot designed and operated by chef Rachel Lazar is now open for business. Cannonball Cafe, whose name brings the revolutionary history back to South Boston and draws upon the forging and metallurgy that took place in the area, will brighten the longtime industrial district as its first dining spot! The new cafe is equipped with freshly brewed coffees, pastries, smoothies, and grab-and-go lunches. Cannonball Cafe offers discounts for veterans in addition to loyalty cards. Ask for one at checkout – 11th coffee is free!

Blank Street

Blank Street features small and efficient spots in urban locations and electronic espresso machines – so you get your coffee quicker and allows the baristas to bond with their customers. Plus, customers can pay and order ahead with the Blank Street mobile app!

Koko Cafe

Koko Cafe started off as a mobile espresso and coffee bar but the firs first brick and mortar shop is right in the neighborhood!  The menu features everything from espresso to iced coffee plus items like Açaí pitaya bowl, cornbread french toast, baked eggs + chorizo for breakfast.
