Who says the Fourth of July is the only time to be patriotic? On September 16 & 17, the Innovation and Design Building will host American Field, an annual pop-up market showcasing American-made products from brands across the country, including local favorites Ball and Buck and New Balance. It’ll be a celebration of maker culture, craftsmanship and intentional design. Visitors can support local brands, meet the makers in person, and sample cocktails from Maker’s Mark or get a haircut from Ball and Buck! American Field is free and open to the public September 16th and 17th, 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Stop by and check it out!
Treasure Hunt! Head to Spectacle Island on Sunday for a free Treasures of Spectacle Island cruise! Save the Harbor Save the Bay is hosting this fun event where you hunt for sea glass and artifacts on Treasure Beach, hick the North Drumlin for a view of the city and harbor, and fish with the Youth Environmental Education Program staff! Parking begins at the World Trade Center at 9:30am aboard the Provincetown II. The boat will head back to the Seaport at 1:30pm with a 2pm arrival. Dust off your dance shoes! Celebrity Series of Boston is bringing dance and live music to Dewey Square Park beginning September 13th. “Let’s Dance Boston” will return to the Rose Kennedy Greenway with a FREE five-day dance and live music extravaganza on The Greenway. Each event features a different style of dance along with a live band preceded by expert dance instructors. Sessions begins with a 45-minute free dance lesson taught by professional teachers in the dance style of the evening. After the lesson, a live band performs a 90-minute set to accompany the dancing and continue the party. This weekend’s lineup includes mambo, disco, salsa and yiddish folk dance!
