Get a jump on your Christmas list at the Boston Christmas Festival this weekend a the Seaport World Trade Center.  This fun-filled event will feature handcrafted gifts, holiday decorations, jewelry, clothing, pottery, folk art, and gourmet specialty food.   Tickets are $10.  For more information visit www.bostonChristmasFestival.com Kicking off the festival is an good old fashioned gingerbread house competition.  Top chefs from area restaurants, bakeries and culinary schools will put their dessert skills to the test as they compete in the 21st Annual Gingerbread House Competition to benefit Housing Families, Inc. – a non-profit organization dedicated to ending family homelessness in Massachusetts.  This battle of gingerbread and icing will go down on Friday, November 8nd from 10am to 12noon.  The sweet and tasty creations will be judged by a celebrity panel including Caught in Southie’s own Maureen Dahill and her two sons Peter Gailunas (11years old) and Henry Gailunas (10 years old).  Sweet!
