Eat:
After a hot day at the beach, an ice cold beer and some delicious food will do the trick.  The Seapoint Restaurant(367 East Eighth Street) has the best steak tips in Southie and they sell beer by the pitcher so it’s the perfect spot for apres beach!  As always, Seapoint has the friendliest staff -including Lovey, ample parking and it’s very family friendly – so bring the kids!  Make sure to try their pizza – it’s our favorite!

Drink:
Williams Tavern is hosting the “King of Beers” Budweiser on Friday, June 27th from 6pm-8pm with a special Bud Light promotion.  Order a Bud Light and Bud will pick up the tab!  We’ll drink to that!

Shop:
Habit (701 East Broadway) has some fresh picked summer accessories bursting with color for your summer wardrobe.  Whether is a bold statement necklace in coral or pink or a fun beach hat covered in lemons (our personal favorite), Habit’s got the perfect piece to add some personality to your outfit!  Stop by and check them out this weekend!

Stretch and Breathe:
Enjoy an entire day of yoga and meditation classes at South Boston Yoga (36 West Broadway) on Saturday, June 28th.  Yoga Strong will feature classes like Loving Kindness – restorative yoga – to a Blue Sky meditation and everything thing in between.  The day will end with live music by Irene Solea and Kirtan Soul Revival from 6pm-8pm.  This day-long festival will be donation-based and led by graduates of South Boston Yoga’s Teacher Training program.  Pay what you can and all donations will be gifted to a local charity. In addition to this yoga festival, South Boston Yoga will be offering their regularly scheduled classes at the normal drop-in rate. 

Kick and Punch:
Inspired by the World Cup?  Mayor Marty Walsh is looking for some U14 youth soccer teams to participate in an soccer tournament on Saturday, June 28th at Saunders Stadium at Moakely Field in South Boston.  Gather up up a team and head to the field for an 8:30 check-in and a 9:00am start.  On Sunday, July 13th enjoy a World Cup Final Viewing Party at City Hall Plaza. Festivities begin at 12pm and the kick-off at 3pm.

On Sunday, June 29th the mayor invites you to City Hall Plaza for the Neighborhood Youth Challenge featuring live boxing matches.  The first bout begins at 6:30pm and will feature Boston vs. Connemara. Pirouette:
Calling all budding ballerinas!  Internationally acclaimed children’s designer Cana Gokhan and co-owner of the prestigious children’s fashion company Lady & Lord, will be at Bringing Up Baby (663 East Broadway) on Thursday, June 26th from 4pm-8pm to custom design tutus for your little ones! Lady & Lord creates adorable tutus and dresses hand sewn and made from high quality silks and tulles. They are simply magical.  Lady & Lord has been featured in Harper’s Bazaar and InStyle magazine and Bring up Baby is their only location in the U.S. where you can purchase the collection.

Free Fridays:
The Highland Street Foundation would like to pick up the tab on admission to Boston area attractions.  Isn’t that nice?  Enjoy free admission to places like the Isabella Stewart Garner Museum, The Children’s Museum, ICA, the Franklin Park Zoo and many more.  This special promotion takes place each Friday from June 27th through August 29th.
