Weekend Picks – June 17th

Eat:
Gather up some friends and head to Southie’s newest summer hot spot – the Air Deck at Coppersmith!  Groups of up to 20 people can reserve parking at a rooftop table by ordering one of Chef Heard’s Air Deck Picnics.  Served in a vintage Radio Flyer wagon, these picnic menus include such deliciousness as bbq chicken, pulled pork tacos, shrimp, oysters, fish and more!  Air Deck Picnics must be ordered 24 hours in advance by calling the restaurant directly and are based on first come first serve availability. The picnics are the only way to reserve a table on the Air Deck! It’s a perfect excuse to gather up the gang, eat some delicious food and sip on their new summer cocktail selection available by the glass or the pitcher!  Sweet! Fore more information visit their website!

Drink:
Lincoln Tavern will be celebrating summer with live music and burger specials and Bud aka America on Sundays from 6pm-9pm. “Legends of Summer Band” will be performing Lincoln’s back room presented by Anheuser-Busch. We can’t think of a better way to end the weekend!

Father’s Day is Sunday, June 19th!  Shop local for dear old dad!  Wears + Wares has got some great gift ideas including t-shirts, accessories and more!  Lindsay Tia has a new line of men’s accessories including leather belts and credit card holders. Dew Luxe has the perfect shave kit for dad and when in doubt a nice bottle of booze from Grand Ten Distilling is always a great pick!  Or maybe a membership to Peter Welch’s Gym to get dad in kick-ass shape!

See:
In celebration of Flag Day (June 14th), The Commonwealth Museum will display one of the oldest 13-stars-and-stripes American flag. It’s so old, in fact, the flag is believed to have been raised during the Revolutionary War at Fort Independence on Castle Island.  Stop by this weekend to see Old Glory!
