Tryout:
Jab, jab, hook. Looking to show off your mad skills in the boxing ring? Well, now’s your chance. Beginning this weekend – January 24th and 25th from 1:30pm-3:30pm, at Peter Welch’s Gym (371 Dorchester Ave.) you can tryout and begin training to participate in the South Boston Citizens’ Association Boxing Show Friday, March 6th at 7pm. We all know how important the South Boston Boys and Girls Club is to our community! The Club provides amazing sports, music and arts programs that help the youth of South Boston learn and grow. With that in mind, the Third Annual South Boston Boys and Girls Club Winter Benefit happens Saturday, January 24th at 8pm at VFW Post at Andrew Square (7 Ellery Street) Featuring DJ, Dancing, Cash Bar, Silent Auction and a 50/50 Raffle, this night promises to be a fun community event. Class participants who sign up for the Bar-re Hop will choose which workout they do first and after the class, they will walk the .02 miles to the next studio for their second workout of the day. Cost is $35 and includes a 60-minute indoor cycling class at The Handle Bar, South Boston, 60-minute barre class at Simply Barre and complimentary tote bag.
